Assignment Spotlight: Snowball Assignment
Aug 04, 2020This month's assignment spotlight is entitled, "Snowball Assignment". This is a pretty fun assignment that really enhances the sense of community in the class right from the beginning. It is an excellent introduction/icebreaker assignment that makes students make connections with others in the class. Let's take a look at it in more detail.
The way that the Snowball assignment works is that it asks students to introduce themselves and share something about themselves such as a hobby, fun fact, etc. Then the fun part of this assignment is that every student that joins the conversation must highlight something they have in common with one, two or three other students.

What I love most about this assignment is students must find similarities among others in the course and make real connections this way!
