Assignment Spotlight: The Blueprint Puzzle Tournament
Jun 06, 2023In today's assignment spotlight, I'll be highlighting a fun review game that can easily be done in any course called The Blueprint Puzzle Tournament. Learn more today!
The Blueprint Tournament Puzzle requires teams of students to complete a series of puzzles with clues that guide them towards the correct answer. The team that solves all of the puzzles first with the fewest errors wins!
Puzzles can include riddles, brain teasers, logic puzzles, crosswords, word searches and more. I used crossword, drag and drop and word scramble puzzles in particular.
Not only is this game fun and engaging but it's an excellent way to review course concepts and serves as an excellent end of semester review activity. Details of how to administer an activity like this can be found in the Journal of Nursing Education (Nurse-Clarke, 2022).
You can also view a great overview of how to conduct Puzzle Tournaments from Andrew Davies and the Professors at Play.
