🧐 Radical Online Resource- BreakoutRN

I have an exciting resource to share today, called BreakoutRN. I have used this site since its launch in 2020, and it has been an incredible resource for nurses. Learn more about it in today's resource.

BreakoutRN is an awesome resource focused on helping nurse educators adapt more active learning strategies into their classrooms. This site provides educators with free resources, such as an Idea Bank, that shares practical resources that encourage implementing active learning, experimentation and thoughtful productivity as well as innovative products for sale such as tabletop escape rooms and Escape decks that are specifically designed to encourage critical thinking among nursing students.

In addition to the products, BreakoutRN also has an online community of nurse educators that share ideas and stories related to using active learning in their classrooms through the Facebook Group called Active Learning Learning Strategies for Nursing Instructors. This is a great place to find resources and support from fellow nurse who are passionate about creative and engaging teaching methods.

Many of the resources available at BreakoutRN can be adapted to the online platform and can be customized to fit different nursing contexts. This could be a great way to spice up your online lessons and engage students in innovative ways.

In addition to this, BreakoutRN offers a FREE Virtual Escape Room tutorial, complete with resources, tools and templates!

I highly recommend checking out BreakoutRN if you are looking for new and creative ways to teach your nursing students! It has been an invaluable resource for me and I have seen the positive effects that active learning can have on my students!
